To celebrate the Year of Reading, Leeds Children’s Centres have launched the Leeds Book Hunt and some nurseries have joined in, we have a love of reading here at KCC so we thought we would join in the fun. The children will be going out next week and hiding books in our local community.
Pictures have been shared on the Leeds City Council Facebook community page and Twitter Page with the hashtag #leedsbookhunt we have also created our own hashtag #kirkgatechildcarebookhunt
Anyone can get involved If you would like to hide a book of yours simply place a children’s book in a clear waterproof bag and hide it in a safe place with the same message……
“What a surprise, you found a book, there’s fun inside – just take a look. Once you have read it, you get to decide where in abouts this book you will hide”
