Staff create a welcoming and nurturing environment where children flourish

Lovely nursery with friendly attentive staff. My daughter, with additional medical needs, made firm bonds with staff and was given the highest level of care. would definitely recommend.

An absolutely outstanding nursery. My daughter has been going since she turned two, and she has learnt so much from communication, numbers to making friends and lovely manners! The staff are very kind to the children and teach them to be kind to others. It’s not like any other nursery, they go out on trips to the library, to their allotment, the old people’s home and also to the old girls school and have some fun and frolics with the oldies dancing and singing! My daughter loves it that much I’ve started my little boy there now and can’t wait for him to develop. He has a few allergies too and they have been SO accommodating towards him with these, following all protocol with health and safety so he will be in a very safe environment. Let’s just say if your looking for an excellent nursery this is the one to go for! Dawn and the rest of the staff go above and beyond for your child! X

Both my children have attended kirkgate childcare and I couldn't be happier with our experience. They did a wonderful job preparing my daughter to go off to school, encouraging her to speak out when she's not happy. I was very anxious with my son starting due to him having a life threatening condition, however the staff have gone over and above to ensure his safety and inclusion. I couldn't give this nursery a higher reccomendation.

We cannot recommend Kirkgate Childcare enough, from the staff’s efforts to help settle our daughter when she first started, to the diversity of all the activities and outings offered, and the lovely and kind staff who cannot do enough to ensure the children are happy and learning. Kirkgate childcare is an amazing nursery. My daughter loves going there. The setting is completely child centred and staff are highly skilled. They genuinely care about each child’s individuality and follow and celebrate their interests. All staff have worked to develop a lovely relationship with my daughter, particularly, her key worker, who she loves! My daughter feels happy and secure at nursery and has lots of fun. As the setting is fairly small, it feels very nurturing, the children get to know each other really well and my daughter has developed some firm friendships. As a parent I am made to feel very welcome and am kept well informed through daily feedback and regularly parent consultations. The early years curriculum is implemented wonderfully through play. My daughter is developing well, her strengths have been identified and encouraged. I am so happy with my choice of childcare.

My son has been going to Kirkgate nursery since it opened and he will be leaving in July. We are so sad to be leaving as it is such a wonderful place! It has a truly child-centred ethos where every child really is valued, nurtured and treated as a unique individual. I am so grateful for everything they have done for him. He has loved everything about going to this nursery and he has absolutely thrived from the gentle, flexible approach and the emphasis on creative free-play. Special mention should also go to the incredibly effective use of nurturing attachments formed between key workers and their children which I cannot praise highly enough. We will remember Kirkgate forever and hold you very dear in our hearts

Kirkgate Childcare is an outstanding, tailor made magical place. Our daughter has attended here from the age of two and has excelled in her self confidence & learning. The bonds she has with the team here is second to none, we as parents have an enormous amount of confidence in the staff & would recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a homely, educating and encouraging place for their child.
